Discover the magic of Prague’s historic center along with the rich and tangled history of coffee itself. This unique tour covers not only the global story of coffee but also how it became part of everyday life for Prague locals.

You’ll explore some of the most iconic cafés of 19th and 20th century Prague – learn about their origins, famous regulars, and the role they played in Prague’s social and cultural life, both then and now. The tour ends with a visit to one of today's leading specialty coffee shops. There, you’ll see how coffee is roasted, learn about its journey from harvest to cup, and enjoy a tasting. You'll also get tips on how to evaluate coffee like a true professional – and most importantly, you'll enjoy it!

The tour starts at Křižovnické Square and leads you through the narrow alleys of Old Prague and into the world of coffee. You'll visit historical spots where coffee used to be roasted and processed and learn about the birth of iconic Prague cafés, where writers, artists, and politicians gathered. In those days, cafés were cultural hotspots, and anyone who was anyone was there daily. The first part of the tour takes about 1.5 hours, full of history and charm.

Then we head to a partner café in Vinohrady for the tasting session. You’ll discover the coffee journey from cherry to roasted bean, and you’ll learn to taste and appreciate coffee like a pro. From now on, coffee won’t just be a quick energy fix – it’ll be a real treat to savor, sip by sip. Approx. 1 hour.
