Do you have a four-legged friend at home who just can’t sit still? Yes? Then we’ve got a few tips for you on where to let your playful rascal run free — right here in Prague! Sounds great, doesn’t it?
Libeň – František Kadlec Park
Arguably the best spot for dogs is Libeň. There are plenty of grassy areas here, including the František Kadlec Park, which is fenced in and has several obstacles for dogs to play on. This dog meadow is a favorite among dog lovers, especially those who enjoy agility training.
Dog Park by the Podolí Waterworks
Let’s stay with agility parks for a moment and move on to a fenced dog park located across from the Podolí Waterworks, near the right bank of the Vltava. It’s actually the first dog playground with obstacles in Prague. The entrance is through a double gate. The obstacles are well arranged, so several dogs can “train” at the same time. Benches are available around the interior for the dog owners.

Lehovec – Agility Park
Another popular agility park is the dog meadow at Lehovec on Kukelská Street, with nine fun obstacles made from durable acacia wood for dogs to enjoy.
Dog Meadow in Letná Park
Another well-known area is Letná. Letná Park offers a beautiful view of Old Town and also hides a dog meadow between Letná Palace and Kostelní Street. One of the perks here is that your pup can not only run around freely but also hydrate at the drinking fountain. If you get a bit peckish, stop by Pod Lipami Café just 10 minutes away, or Alchymista about 15 minutes away. Both are dog friendly!
Bohnice
There are four designated dog meadows in Bohnice. You’ll find them on Katovická, Ratibořská, Ústavní, and Hanouškova streets.
Holešovice – Dog Meadow in Stromovka
You can also have some off-leash fun with your pup in Prague’s Stromovka Park, which has a large dog meadow — and it’s not the only dog-friendly area there. If you prefer walking rather than staying in one spot, take a nice easy stroll around the northern part of the park.

Need a break from the park? Check out these dog-friendly cafés!
If all that park running has you tired, here are some cozy dog-friendly cafés.
One of them is Kavárna Místo, just a short walk from the Hradčanská metro station on Bubenečská Street. They’ve got water bowls for the dogs, hearty breakfasts and lunches, desserts, and specialty coffee from Doubleshot roastery for you.
Another great spot is Spižírna on Korunní Street. They offer a breakfast menu, evening menu, and warm homemade buns. And of course, dogs are welcome!
Lastly, Coffee Room, another dog-friendly gem! This tiny café with a garden offers amazing coffee, delicious desserts, and a homemade banana bread with peanut butter and bananas that’s a must-try.
On the flip side, a place to avoid with your pup is the pub Na Pekárně in Čakovičky — its owner is famously anti-dog!
Of course, there are plenty of dog-friendly cafés in Prague. If you’ve got your own favorite spots for dog walks or treats, let us know — maybe we’ll bump into each other there!
