3-day canyoning course in Slovenia – level 1

This experience is for anyone who wants to dive into real canyoning with everything it involves. Step by step, you'll learn essential canyoning know-how: techniques, skills, and decision-making to move confidently and safely through a canyon. You'll practice jumping techniques, rappelling down waterfalls, navigating tricky terrain, and understanding how to stay safe and in control. As the course goes on, the canyons get a little tougher — but so do your skills!

You don’t need any previous experience, knowledge, or special skills. Just bring your adventurous spirit and be ready for an epic few days!

Experience details:

On day one, we’ll meet at a prearranged time and place. You'll get to know your instructor — who’ll be with you for the full three days — and the rest of your crew. Over coffee, we’ll go over safety basics, gear introduction, and how canyoning works. Then we head to the base, grab our equipment (wetsuit, neoprene socks, professional canyoning boots, helmet, and harness), hop in the cars, and drive about 10 minutes to our first canyon – Sušec. After a 30–40 minute uphill walk, we gear up and jump into some practical training. Then it’s into the canyon! Expect natural slides, jumps, and rappelling — the full canyon experience. The descent takes about 1.5–2 hours depending on group size and pace. Dry clothes will be waiting for us back at the parking lot.

On day two, we’ll start with an hour of training before heading to canyon number two – Fratarica, about 15 minutes by car and a 40-minute hike. Fratarica is more technical, with a waterfall nearly 50 meters high! But don’t worry — we’ll tackle it together. Afterward, you’ll have the option to book extra activities like rafting or ziplining.

On day three, we hit our final canyon – Predelica, about 20 minutes from Bovec. It’s the easiest hike in, but there's a bit of a climb at the end. The canyon itself is stunning — crystal-clear water, amazing views, smaller jumps, and some truly beautiful rappels. After that, we wrap up and say our goodbyes.
